Barrister Ahamed Ihteyaz Thamid is the Chairman & Managing Director of H & H Eastern Agro Fisheries Ltd, where he leads one of Bangladesh’s long-established agro-fisheries enterprises with a focus on disciplined management, sustainable growth, and research-driven production systems. His strategic leadership has strengthened the company’s operational foundations and elevated its reputation as a professionally governed and forward-looking organisation in the fisheries sector.
With a strong background in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, Barrister Thamid brings rigorous governance and institutional structure to H & H. He ensures that the company’s operations— from fisheries production to internal management maintain full regulatory compliance and meet the highest standards of efficiency and organisational discipline.
He works closely with the company’s Director, Dewan Fuad Ahmed Rahat, one of the finest fisheries researchers in the country, whose scientific approach and technical expertise have significantly enhanced the company’s production capacity and sectoral standing.
His leadership has been central to preserving the organisation’s reputation for reliability and responsible business conduct, reflected in recognition from institutions such as ICB and Bangladesh Bank.
Beyond his leadership role in H & H Eastern Agro Fisheries Ltd, Barrister Ahamed Ihteyaz Thamid is a Supreme Court of Bangladesh Advocate and the Managing Partner of Imperial Counsel, where he advises clients on corporate transactions, governance, financial regulations, and regulatory compliance. His multidisciplinary legal and commercial expertise forms the foundation of his ability to guide strategic decision-making and embed strong corporate governance standards within H & H’s long-term vision.
He also serves as an Independent Director at Astha Life Insurance Company Ltd, a concern of the Army Welfare Trust (AWT), where he contributes to board oversight, policy development, and governance reforms consistent with AWT’s institutional mandate.
